Star power on display: 59 high school boys hockey players to watch this season

In some ways the 2023-24 high school boys hockey season was an atypical one as no Patriot Ledger or Enterprise teams won a state championship.

The South Shore hadn't been shut out since 2017, assuming you count the 2019-20 campaign that was suspended on the eve of the state finals due to the pandemic. Hanover (Division 3) and Canton (Div. 2) were part of a slew of co-champs that season.

Three-goal outburst enough for Hingham boys’ hockey to advance to Division 1 Elite Eight

CANTON — Fashionably late, the Hingham boys’ hockey team quickly made up for lost time on the offensive end.

The eighth-seeded Harbormen surgically struck for three goals in less than eight minutes in the second period, and that was all they needed to beat No. 24 Braintree, 3-0, in Monday’s Division 1 second round matchup at the Canton Ice House.
